Seven Stars

Artist Notes:

As Earth makes her way along the orbit of the sun, a wonderful illusion is created in the night sky.
The Big Dipper (Ursa Major), over the course of a year, seems to whirl slowly around the North Star (Polaris) like a child on a merry-go-round.
One cold, crisp February night in North America, I walked my dog contemplating the meaning of my life.
We sat on a breezy hill. The Bid Dipper was straight up, balancing on its one tiny seventh star. I had never seen it in just this way. It was a huge question mark!
As we continued walking, Madeline, my dog, wagged her tail and seemed to smile. I smiled too. It had the answer. It was a huge question!
